1. "detente" is a French word for describing easing of relaxations that happened after the Cold War between United States and Soviet Union. This refers to a time period between 1967 to 1979.
This has widened after in 1971 when US President Richard Nixon visited the Soviet Union in 1972. Trade relations between United States and Soviet Union prospered after this period. Richard Nixon signed on several treaties during that trip which was the official first trip to Soviet Union by an American President. As a result of the measures, both countries reduced their hostility towards each other. But later in 1979, detente ended which caused in reverse of tensions.
2. Hilary Rodhamn Clinton is an American Politician who served as First Lady from 1993 to 2001. She is a Lawyer, Diplomat, writer and Public Speaker and served as the United States Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013. She has unsuccessfully participated in the election race to become President of the United States two times.
She was the first woman to get a representation from a major political party. Her spouse is Bill Clinton, 42nd President of the United States. She has published several books and even got the Grammy Award.
3. al Qaeda is a translational terrorist group founded by Osama bin Laden and others during Soviet Afghan war in 1988. It's ideology is Salafist Jihadism. The operations has been in the Middle East. Many countries and even the United Nations Security Council designated the country to a terrorist Organization. It was responsible for the 9/11 attacks in the United States.
There are several branches or sub committee for al Qaeda which expands the caliphate in the Middle East.
