(A) infrared telescopes are telescopes which uses infrared light to find celestial bodies.celestial objects with temp. above absolute temp. emit some kind of radiation which is used to find them.they must be kept cool since they emit thermal radiation.by cooling, we reduce the thermal radiation.If we don`t do so, the heat produced due to radiation will also be taken during measurement by the heat sensor.

(B) gamma ray telescope are used to detect and resolve of the gamma ray due to sources outside the earth`s atmoshpere. while other higher energy radiations telescopes like x-ray telescopes are also used for the detection of remote objects with corresponding radiation

(C) many telescopes like gamma ray, ultra violet , visible light ,infrared telescopes are used because different bodies emit different types of radiation and it is not possible for us to detect different spectrum of light through a single one.So, we use several telescopes.
