The steps of sleeping are-

  1. Feeling of Drowsiness.
  2. Entering Non Rapid Eye Movement.
  3. Light stages of sleep can be easily disturbed.
  4. A deep stage of sleep which may be disorienting for many if woken up.
  5. Entering Rapid Eye Movement which involves dreaming.

An individual may feel a range of changes which are dynamic when it comes to aging. Old age people, similar to growing children rely on more hours of sleep which includes less rapid eye movement sleep.
