Character and Personality for the President Barrack Obama.
Perhaps harder to determine but just as important in evaluating a
president are the personal qualities the person brings to the
office. Historians have reached consensus on the following traits
as being important to a president: intelligence, honesty,
integrity, character, flexibility, adaptability, and most
importantly decisiveness. What about presidential relationships
(i.e., with Congress, the press, the courts, the public, etc.)?
Here you should look at popularity (do not place too much emphasis
on opinion polls e.g., look at Reagan and Bush, neither will be
considered Great presidents; Harding was extremely popular yet
consistently considered a failure).
Character and Personality of President Barrack Obama
Barrack Obama was the 44th US President who holds 2 terms at the office. He was the first African American president. During his tenure, Obama has the willingness to listen and debate on opinions which were different from his opinions. He can be termed as a great orator who was a very good motivational speaker and knows how to connect with the people of any age, race, gender etc. He campaigned in 2008 by targeting all the age groups which were eligible to vote made him win not only the advertising award of 2008 but also the position of President. It is a very good example that how a leader can connect with the mass population with one single stroke. He has an extraordinary mix of ambitious, dominant and confident. There been times when he had set very good examples of how to be a great family man.
Obama can be coined as a transformational leader who was very good at engaging with the American people. On the other hand, he was criticised on his ability to take risks. He made deliberate decision to surround himself with the people who are not always at his side of the opinion. Due to which he gained the perspective on different issues as well.
