"From the employer's point of view, it is inherently inequitable—the laws notwithstanding—to require the payment of equal wages to women and men for performing the same job."
Construct the strongest case that you can in support of the above statement, and then balance your case with the most convincing opposing arguments that you can muster.
As per an article on FORBES magazine it has been obtained that the major discrimination is going on in the various employment sectors among the women and men with respect to their wages in spite of delivering the equal work in the organization. As per the present competitive market both men and women are working equally to perform better in their job roles but at the time of getting the wages, the organizations are practicing unethical approach while making the payment. The women’s are basically getting the lower salary as compared to men, the companies’ are fixed at a particular point they are not upgrading their salary structure for women. From the research journals, it has also obtained that women’s are giving sufficient efficiency in work but still, they are neglecting by the organizations. The organizations are not maintaining the framework of equality for the women’s, and neither they redefining the culture. Many petitions have been filed and also appealed to the government. The lawsuit has been successfully submitted by the employees but that too is less as compared to the injustice is going on. The women’s are required to roar louder, and then only the discrimination should be avoided. The problem has been noticed that the organization pressurizes or threatening the staffs, especially to the females who may lose their job if they raise their voice against the organization, so to save their jobs women’s stops to respond and working with lower wages. This benefits the organization to complete the act of inequality for not providing the equal wages to them. The women’s are basically required to come forward and need to roar their voice by a mass petition so that the organization bound to change their policy and the HRM ministry should take serious actions as per the lawsuits submitted. As per the job roles, efficiency and performance both men and women are required to provide equal wages.
