Acupuncture in modern healthcare:
Acupuncture is one kind of special treatment it mainly involves with the inserting of very thin needles through a person's body at specific points to various depths. Several researches was concluded that it can be mostly helpful treatment for relieving pains and also by using this process a wide range of other complaints are also solved.
This pain gate theory relies on the pain perception in different individuals. This theory is based on the fact that one type of pain may cancel another. It says that the pain messages from different nerve fibres pass through the same neural channel or gate. Therefore, if the gate is closed by one type of pain message then other pain messages may not be able to pass through. This logic seems to work in the case of acupuncture. This is an ancient Chinese science which is believed to relieve pain by inserting small needles into the body. These needles are heated or electrified and when inserted, they activate small pain fibres. These small pain fibres then relay the brain to close down the neural gate responsible for transmission of pain. This produces short term pain relief.
