Is our society truly facing an "energy crisis", assuming by this term we mean that we are running out of energy? What is happening to our energy resources as a result of the increasing industrialization of the world?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Yes, our society is truly facing energ crisis.

Due to increase in consumption of energy sources like fossil fuels and oil and gas the conventional sources of energy are getting depleted rapidly whereas the cycle of their replenishment is very slow. Therefore, these all are not getting replenished as the consumption rate.

Also, in terms of renewable energy sources the world has not made significant improvement. The power produced by renewable energy like wind, solar, tidal energy sources is much lesser compared to conventional sources.

The industrialization of the world is increasing day by day. Along with GDP growth oil and energy consumtion has increased hand to hand. Thus the resources of energy are getting limited as a result of industrialization.
