The service oriented architecture advocates that everything as the services. Cloud computing provoides the services as platform as the services, Infrastructure as the services and finally Software as the services. Software as the service is the thing iin which the customer can asccess the software provided by the cloud infrastructure. For example, E-mail, CRM,etc Saas does not gets any rights to access the server, network, Operating System ,storage, etc. This reduces the cost that it provide the common system so there is no need to develop the individual software. Special attention is given to the Software as the services since the Saas thing is easy to use by all the people. There is no need of the internal knowledge about the network or operating system for the using this type of services. Actually it is user friendly. The need for secured Software as the service leads to the identity as the service.Identity as the service is the thing were the path to the cloud is secured. Idaas is the thing which can be formed by the collabration with the Saas which needs an additional feature of securiy. With IDaaS, enterprises that are larger and are older could potentially be more complex. This could lead to having a lot of bulk projects or even activities. “The availability of various directories, IAM tools, and legacy apps available in large enterprises, the solutionpresented by the IDaaS enterprise aims to integrate apps found in the private cloud (non-SaaS app) and to link the directories. Since, on-premises apps and separate sign-on are required for the SaaS connection.
There are many ways in which the “as-a-service” approach to cloud computing can reduce cost while adding value. Each type of service provides its own cost reduction and value adding abilities. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) is able to reduce cost by an organization not having to purchase physical hardware to maintain a datacenter. Datacenter hardware generally consists of servers and storage devices. To purchase a single server can range in price between $500-$2000, while a Storage device can range in prices between $2500-$6000. The added value to this is that an organization will not be required to maintain this physical hardware, which means not having to worry about environmental controls, physical security. Platform as a Service (PaaS) is capable of reducing cost the same as IaaS but will include more due to not having to purchase Operating System licenses, as well as supporting core software such as exchange and SQL. The value this has is that an organization need not worry about the same things as IaaS as well as not having to worry about preforming updates with the vendor provided software. Software as a Service (SaaS) is software that is available over the internet. This can reduce cost because an organization is only paying for what they use, or as a service on demand. This form has an added value due to an organization not having to worry about anything but operations. An additional added value to utilizing PaaS with an organizations collaboration services is that being that these services are web based they can be accessed from anywhere, whether an employee is at home or on a business trip they will be able to receive their emails, communicate with the organization, and share files. Identity as a Service is a single sign-on that is host within the cloud. It is capable of providing directory services for anything from workstation logon, physical access to workspaces, or access to websites or services that are provided within an organization.
