Koreans usually refer to China as an "Older brother " korea used its language and sought to adopt its culture . Korea used Chinese based government and had a similar culture . During Han occupation rice, wheat, metals ,forms of writing, paper printing, and more become spread to korea after they became partof Chinese culture . When Chinese military colonies left , Korea became independent . Unlike China they made miltary an aristocratic class. Korea's most basic agricultural practices spread from China,this includes the farming of rice and millet.

  • Rice and Bronze also moved from China to Korea  1100BC as the refugees entered from Chinese shang dynasty to Korea.
  • They transitioned to farming and established permanent settlements with houses.

  • This was overthrown by the Han, Chinese colonies were outposts of Chinese civilisation.

Korea is a peninsula , by the sea allows fishing ,trade and travel and was closer to China .This helps the Koreans selective borrowing of ideas and Cultures from China and Japan. Chosun Dynasty rise by the invasion of Ming in 1392 and named by him the ' Chosun dynasty'. Tokugawa dynasty takes the ideas from china they liked and discarded the ideas they disliked. Also revised chinese writing system and added kana, which means phonetic symbols .
