The web technology in the Current era allows people to interact with government and to notice issues of concern, to bring attention of the local regional and national government more easily.

Since the late 1990's the governments are trying to connect their Citizens through web. By making information online and making them easily available to people, affordable, easily understandable, accessible and useful. People now can easily interact with their government in better ways through internet.

The United States is a much larger country as a direct democracy. America have more than 300 million Citizens, as all the americans are not living near to the White House, it is not so easy to connect with government directly. The inernet allow many more opputunity to get in touch with governments.

The democracy stands for the welfare of the people and it is much important to connect the Citizen in every possible manner, and without connectivity to its government a true democratic government would be very difficult to maintain.

As we are living in an era of social media, the government organizations, politicians, civic officials, and even entire government agencies are connecting with people directly via social media and people are getting chance to engage in direct dialogue with them. Social media is not only a platform to share memes and keep up with what is trending. Nowadays the social media platforms are using well to interact and connect government officials with people.

At the current pandemic, the states across the world are largely depending on websites to record and track the virus spread. The team working in ground level reports to their immediate superiors while the superiors makes it to the websites. The process occurs across the country which makes ease to have country wide data which helps the public and media to access it.
