The company chosen for this task is Apple Inc. because of its renowned name, diversity in product lines, massive operations and vast size. Apple is an American multinational corporation that designs and manufactures consumer electronics and computer software products. A great business strategy has the potential to affect Apple for the better. But, there are many steps in business strategies that could help a company like Apple be more successful. This week’s assignment it is geared towards evaluating the potential business level strategy for Apple, for example Apple’s value discipline, generic strategy, and grand strategy. While also assessing Apple’s potential corporate and global level strategies. Finally, recommending a strategy or combination of strategies that Apple should implement. This paper will also include a rationale for the recommendation.

Evaluation of Apple Inc.’s Potential Business Level Strategy

Apple’s business-level strategy is based on many different variations within the organization. The business strategy for Apple Inc. can be said to be that Apple strides to make the best product. Here, Apple focuses on product differentiation in design/functionality as well as how to maintain their competitive advantage. Koch reacy and Wiersema introduced this concept following by the lifetime workings of Micheal Porter. According to the theory every company focuses on one of the following three dimensions: First being Customer Intimacy, second Operational Excellence and third Product Leadership. Among these three dimensions mentioned above Apple focuses on Product Leadership while maintaining the other two according to industry standards.
