Pollution is basically a failure of any private enterprise or firm /Individual.Private advantageous profits by Firm are hld responsible for polluting environment with the daily increasing wastes and conspumption. for example gases, solid, liquid etc . The Economist who are Joining chorus of critics in pollution forces that the private enterprise system does not lead to large welfare the main reason of which is social cost whihc are ignore while calculating the welfare . Also Large blocs of the externalities in terms of costs are not involed in the private cost . they are the characteristic of enterprise system .The destruction is lead by these externalities on our physical envirnoment and its a disaster for the human races .Therefore the way to eradicate the problem is to do taxation on such firms and indivdual owners . The amount of economic production they will will decided how much contribution they need to be done to safe the envirnoment from pooluting . The main responsiblity is to be held the the firm by the laws made by the Govt for certain limits. Therefore is no other way than this to deal with the problems .Thi is becoming unbearable in mass urban socities. where material output is increasing at tremendous rate
