The National Recovery Administration :- This programme is initiated under Roosevelt’s presidency sought to enforce industrial production quotas, prices, and wages,Roosevelt called the NRA a partnership between government and industry. Its goal to speed recovery by establishing profit levels for business and wage levels for labor. In the show of national solidarity more than 2 million employers across the country promised to abide the NRA codes.

The NRA also supported the right of employees to form unions and bargain collectively. Government workers in New York city used the NRA to win higher wages and better working conditions.

In 1935 of poultry company in Brooklyn New York challenged NRA codes regulating hours and wages in their business. The Schechter brothers took their case of all the way to Supreme Court and the Supreme Court declares the National Industrial Recovery Act unconstitutional due to the program bringing too much government control over individuals’ use of their private property. The NRA was blamed for driving up prices and driving down production and for favoring big business .
