Hello. I am looking for some information on the subject of Virtual team leadership and communication in face-to-face and virtual environments. By Virtual Teams, I am defining it as teams that operate at a distance and that are mediated by any form of media.
Virtual teams and its leadership can been said as a need of the hour at a time when whole world is facing Pandemic named Covid19. In a situation, when employers are saying that stay at home and work with online tools and procedures. The main challenges of this virtual workplace and working is that it misses the real work feeling or the ability of employees in clarifying their doubts than real workplace environment.
The role of top management, middle management and operational level managers can be seen as change in cooperation, coordination, leadership, communication and control of employees working or seating at a distant location or stayed to home. Employees may require day to day virtual meetings and proper instructions so that they can gain instructions for smooth conduct of routine business. It is one of the serious challenges that how customers will be served as efficient as they were served from actual service desk. Now , the role of leadership will emerge. They will have to boost the morale of employees and field workers so that they can fight against such a global pandemic. Selection of an appropriate method of communication so that it offers quality communication will also serve the organization and its members with an edge from its competitors point of view.
