future plans of USA health care system a short essay
Currently the health care plans and reforms are being governed
and regulated by the Affordable Care Act that was passed in 2010.
The act is due to finish its term next year and US and its citizens
are facing an anxious wait to the outcomes of new policy that will
be passed. One major change that is going to talk place is the
removal of penalty if the individual is not covered in any
insurance. The previous rules stated that if the person is not
under an insurance that is aided by government or his
employer/organization policy, he must take one at his own cost or
face penalty. It was reported that in 2017, 46 new drugs were
introduced, the most since 1996. But the prices of those drugs were
very high. There are new plans for reducing the price of upcoming
pharma drugs. There will also be easier entries for new entrants to
increase the competitor within the market to regulate the price and
remove monopoly of major companies.
The CHP – children health program will also get more funding in
next few years. The CHP has been a successful program since its
launch and will continue to play a vital role in the development
and improvement of children`s health across the country. There will
be new programs under the Affordable Care Act which focusses more
on health and human services. They will help in reducing costs and
increasing innovation. The government will try to make more jobs
available to the public in the health sector and wants to push
health care as a strong contender for employment
opportunities.
