When calculating Work of a ball rolling down a ramp, you could use W=Fd and W=changein"K"to find the work done on that ball. However what if you are not given given a force or acceleration? How wpuld tou find the Work? how would you calculate acceleration?

In a ramp, when the ball is rolling down, workdone by gravity = potential energy difference between point A and B

workdone = ( m g h ) ..................(1)

If workdone = force distance = F AC ................(2)

if force F = mass acceleration = m a   and AC = h/sin

By equating (1) and (2), we have, F AC = m a ( h/sin ) = m g h ............(3)

Hence we get from above equation, acceleration a = g sin
