Pick a product or service whose supply chain functions during the crisis (Eg. COVID-19) Their current position in the industry (How well known they are) and loosely map their supply chain. Also, consider what secondary or supporting businesses can spur from this crisis resistant business. For instance, Zoom spurred the Behr paint brand’s virtual background options and a few other companies that now supply the same demand. If you can’t find examples of any secondary businesses, create at least one that would make sense, and explain why it makes sense. What would your position be and your duties?

Answer:

Food products are the products whose supply chain is functioning during the crisis (Eg. COVID-19). During the Covid 19 crisis, most of the products and service are hold and only those products or services are functioning which are needed for ensuring food availability for people and medical support for the patients.

The current position of all the products and services were such that they were well established before the Covid-19 crisis, but after the Covid-19 crisis, all the established products and services are no more in use unless they are very essential for the life like food and beverage etc and for medical treatment of people.

Loosely mapping their supply chain such that these products are dispatches from the production plant to the distributors and from distributors to the dealers and from dealers to the retailers so that these products can be make available for the people support during this Covid-19 crisis.

Secondary or supporting businesses that are spurred from this crisis resistant business as below

· Home delivery service business: The home delivery service business is the most suitable business opportunity during this crisis resistant environment and it helps in delivering the food products and medical products to the people as per their needs in overcoming from the crisis.

· Mast production and distribution is another business spurred from this food product delivery and medical services to people, as masks are essential products that are require to be wear by the people during teir travel among the people as per advice from the Covid 19 crisis.

The business of food product and medical service delivery makes sense because this business is very essential and important during this Covid-19 crisis management, as people are lockdown in their homes and they are not allowed to move out of their homes and their needed things need to be delivery at their home so that they can get the needful things they needed for running their life at their home.

Our position will be such that we are in need of these food product and medical service to be extended to the needy people as per government advice and service support framework. Our duties are to help to the extent possible to the government initiative so that we can help government to manage people in this Covid-19 crisis.
