The Roomba by iRobot is a self-propelled vacuum cleaner that avoids falling off of stairs, vacuums along walls and furniture, and recharges itself. Prices range from $150 - $399.
If you were to buy this product, at what price point do you feel comfortable buying it online or in a retail store?
As the price ranges from $150-$400, I would prefer buying a vaccum cleaner from the retail store for an average price of $300 because of the following reasons:
1. Electric Product: The first reason of buying it from a retail store is because of its price range as well as the type of product it is. Electric devices should mainly be bought from the retail stores because we should first check its durability, reliability and the technology one is using. These factors can't be checked via the online store and thus one should go for retail to buy.
2. Check its Usability: As the price of the vaccum clearner is high, one would prefer to buy an expensive product by seeing and touching the item and checking whether it id safe to use or not. One would like to try using the vaccum cleaner in the stores as well to check whether it fits according to the needs of the consumer or not.
3. Compare it with other devices: Online store also doesn't give you the offer to compare the device with other devices too. One doesn't know what he/she needs once they check different types of devices or different types of vaccum cleaners available to see which one completes the needs and provides the maximum utility in one's budget.
