Answer the following three questions. You can use any reference to write your answers (e.g., textbook, articles, internet web pages, etc.). However, you have to use your own words. No Cheating. No plagiarism.

1. Your boss told you that he wants to put you on charge of the opening ceremony for company new plant in Jeddah. He gives you the authority to choose your team members and to make all necessary decisions. The ceremony will be held on October 30th. Explain in details how are you going to manage your team throughout the assignment.

2. One day you came back home to find your older brother setting there. You asked him: “Why did you come early from work?” He replied: ”I did not go to work today.” You noticed that he was frustrated and nervous. Obviously, his job satisfaction is low. Using what you have learned from this course, explain in details what are the possible reasons for his dissatisfaction.

3. You have decided to become the president of the student club at the college. Based on what you have learned from the topics of leadership, power & politics, and conflict & negotiation, explain in details how you are going to practice your leadership role as the club president.

Explain in details how are you going to manage your team throughout the assignment.

As the date is decided for the opening ceremony of new plant that 30 th october  .I will first of all coordinate my team member to ensure that all of them are available for this day and the whole process of management it would take to conduct ths opening ceremony .Now following I will divide my team into following categories .

  • Team 1 - Team 1 is resposnsible for entertainment in the opening ceremony .Entertainment here means the team will organize entertainment events like paino music play , marching bands trained dancers , celebrity singers maybe , it can be motivational speech by speaker etc.
  • Team 2 - Team 2 will work for the main opeing ceremony venue where the opening ceremony of new plant is going to happen by the OFFICIALS . At this place the Team 2 will work for the surity of smooth organizationand management of all the guest coming with the officials and volunteers basic things
  • Team 3 - This team will be conducting the agenda of the business of the company .This will include a guest speaker , it may include new product of company and its advertisement and the achievement of the company till date .
  • Team 4 - This team will be discipilnary commitee and it will manage the hospitality and the health side of the events including the medical serviecs, ambulance service etc for the guest
  • Team 5 - This team will be deciding the guest to be invited for the opening cermony to be held .This will include officials, businesmans ,govt. officers, ministerial persons, industrialists, etc .
  • Hence In this way I would be conducting the evnts of opening ceremony to be held on 30th of october .

There are many possible reason of my brother being frustrated and nervous on his Job .The very first thing to notice is that he did not go to work which indicates that he dont feel like to work in the profession he is in . The possible reasons can be following

  • Not his Desired Job - Not everybody in this world do what he desire or passionate about ,The success rate is very low and not everybody achieve it .If this this is not the case then everybody willl be successful in this world and no body will be sad and upset over his/her missions. My brother can have frustration and nervousness because his desired work is not provided to him or maybe he is not made for this Job . So whenever he go to work he gets frustrated as he dont undeerstand things properly or feels like to resign over his Job
  • Lack of motivation - As mentioned above my brother can also have lack of motivation or councelling over his work . maybe he is exhausted of doing the same work everybody and need some time to get energised to get back to his work
  • Bad relationship with collegues - The probable reason can also be his bad relationship with his boss or collegues or other staffs in the offices . He think negative about them or do not take positive side of his office and feels frustrated and demotivated all the time through his work.
  • Chnaging his Job - Maybe My brother is not serious for his job and fed of this and want to switch his careers and that why he is taking time to re think over his decision to quit this job and look for new one
  • Personal issues - My brother can have some personal issue with his family like children and wife , parents because of this he is very worried for some reason and is frustrated over some time but get well soon

Hence these can be the possible reason .

3. You have decided to become the president of the student club at the college. Based on what you have learned from the topics of leadership, power & politics, and conflict & negotiation, explain in details how you are going to practice your leadership role as the club president.

Being the president of college club is very responsibble task / Job . The president of the club do have to maintain the decorum only but also to maintain the diginity and respect of club memebers and their associates .Following are the practise of my leadership will be played as a club president

  • I will on taken the charge of president will do the very first thing is to make certain guidelines and manuals for the club.
  • I will look into the matter of need of the students at my club and will adress them
  • The team work is a great thing , for every activity I will make a team to decide the best outcome of it . This way involve the participation of alomost all the students of different fields and kind.
  • I will conact the alumis for funding and developement of the club activities and will send the report to them to give the feedback . Also will regular conduct the club activities with boards of director of college
  • I will exercise the overall financial responsibility for the club .
  • I will presides in all the meeting of boards of director to ensure that I am updated with all the their new decision towards the students .etc and a lot more

Hence these leadershi role I will be going to play as a college president
