What are the recommendations for monitoring the MERS-CoV virus now and in the future?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Middle east respiratory syndrome corona virus

Active monitoring

Where the government keeps a daily check on individual s who are exposed to the virus they check them daily to asses the occurrence of symptoms like fever, chills rather than relying on the individual s. Their purpose is to identify the individual if they manifest any o the symptom amd then isolate them

These include atleast twice regular check up of body temperature of the exposed individual, the individual s should inform the health experts as soon as they develop any kind of symptoms.Individuals may also suffer from muscle aches, nausea and vomiting health experts moniter them regularly.

Self monitering

Here the potentially exposed individual moniter their temperature twice regularly and also check for other respiratory problems whenever they find any of such symptoms they must isolate them and inform the health experts.those who self moniter themselves they donot report regularly to the health experts they report once their symptoms arise.

Close contact especially for health expertsthe health care experts and The person taking care of a confirmed mers cov infected individual should always use personal protective equipment s like gowns gloves if they are not used there should be atleast 6 ft distance maintain ed from infected individual.

Isolation

The individual must be isolated and if allowed to travel must not travel with other people .this people should travel individual they are generally high risk people who have actually not developed the symptom s.

Various experiments have shown that the SARS CoV-2 is an RNA virus that enter the human cells through a transmembrane receptor called angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE2). Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and genome sequencing have been cardinal in both diagnosis and research into the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, DNA sequences of both SARS CoV-2 virus and susceptible human hosts are available.
