Drinking beer is an important part of German culture .Germans have great respect for their beer .Youths are encouraged to start drinking from the age of 16 even though thelegal age to start drinking is 18. Beer is the national drink of Germany.Germans have a relaxed attitude while consuming beer.In the German capital ,people drink beer from open containers in public and this is considered legal.Toasting is an important tradition of beer drinking.There is a superstitious belief that everyone should make eye contact and glasses should clink before drinking, or else it will bring bad luck.Oktoberfest is a trademark symbol of the drinking culture of the Germans.Beer festivals are hosted in cities and small towns round the year.In summer Berlin hosts International Beer Festival and also the Craft Beer Week.

Coor beer is manufactured in the United states.Adolf Coors , a German boy ,started a bewery and became the fourth largest beer manufacturer in  US.Coors beer was only sold in the west . Coors beer remained a regional product because it was made without certain preservatives and so was not given license to be sold in other states.So coors beer was smuggled to the east.In Germany Coors beer was smuggled. Coors wsa sold in the west but smuggled to the east.
