child care is defined as the supervision and care of a child or several children of ranging between five upto thirteen. It is a comprehensive matter which includes a widespread range of specialists, organizations, actions, societal and cultural agreements.

Though it is sometimes overlooked but primary child care is a very important element for the growth of a child. Specialists at child care can be the first teacher of the child, and thus plays a vital role in contributing to early childhood education. Providing a superior care from an early age can bring out a recognizable influence on the forthcoming achievements of the child. In USA, at present, since most of the mothers of school age children are working far away from their home. And that’s how the concept of childcare was invented wherein both, the mother can work and the child is taken care of, is happening at the same time.

Most of the child care institutions existing have the pre-requisites that the specialists as caregivers should have extensive training in first aid and should be CPR certified.

There are mainly two types of child care

At home care - In this type, the child is watched inside their own home and care is generally provided by nannies they are skilled to make a innocuous and motivating environment for the child to relish and prosper.

Center-Based childcare -In this type, teacher’s emphasis is on the mental and physical growths of their students. In this type of teaching with a caring relationship will help to foster the moral of the student. They are open for defined hours and provide a uniform and structured system of care for the child.

Parents must consider for certain factors before they enrol their child into a child care center. some of the factors are security and safety of their children. The type and quality of care decides the development of the child

The value of childcare provided is usually designated by the cost of enrolment of center. If the center takes more money for the care, it will usually deliver better care
