1. I was wondering what to do, how to start a business. At that time I just looked around me, observed my qualifications and my capabilities, then start to think how can I deliver something in a user friendly way. I have some basic knowledge in Website designing and content writing, this gave me the idea to start a website design and development business.
2. I have 10 employees. I recruit employees on the basis of their skills, talent, experience and passion. I recruit employees through social media, employee referral program, and job consultants.
I share job postings on social media and encourage candidates to
ask their questions. I share photos and videos of company events or
day-to-day activities to give a brief idea about my company
culture. Those who are interested for the openings contact
me.
Getting talented people is not an easy task. Employee referral
program motivates employees to bring the best talent they know into
my organization. I encourage my existing employees to share job
openings with their peer groups and if there are any talent group
who match the vacant position then they should be motivated to
apply.
Sometimes I contact Job consultants to send skilled and qualified candidates to my organization. I take their interviews, test their skills and background, then decide whether to appoint them or not. I take candidates from a trusted job consultant who can help me if there is any issue.
3. I provide Web design, development and web hosting service.
4. I advertise my business through online platforms. Now-a-days social media is a necessary tool for every business to grow and multiply. I just place ads and offers on my Facebook page and create a network on LinkedIn to help my business. I have also a blog which updates consumers about the daily activities in my organization. Consumers can know the pros and cons of my service and decide to purchase it on the basis of their judgement and information provided in the company blog. I also take the help of SEO to promote my business and ensure that my company name is on the top of the first page of the Google.
5. I chose my current location because it is situated in the heart of the city. Everyone can access it easily, it is easy to communicate from anywhere of my city. Sometimes clients feel uneasy to locate a place and may switch to some other service provider. In order to avoid this problem and making convenient for my clients, I chose my current location in the center of the city.
6. The uniqueness about my business is, I provide value for clients' hard earned money. I provide right service, at right time and at a right price, never give a chance to bargain.
7. If I had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, I would like to say that start a business with confidence, dedication and hard work, success will automatically come. Invest your profit in your business rather than investing on yourself. If you are not investing on your business, then you are losing your chance to grow your business.
