what is the customer segment and early adopters in air filter company ?
Customer segment is the classification of customers on the basis of their aptitude, charactristic,attitude, imotions and even demographic and geographic features.The customer segmentation help the companites to increase their growth and make functioning easy. Mainly two type of customer segmentation exist one is Business to Business marketing customer segmentation and business to consumer marketing customer segmentation . Both type of type of segmentation doing under different factor consideration. In the case of Business to Business marketing customer segmentation consider type of indusry or firm , purchasing history,volume of production, size of the firm, factors of production,and location of the industry or firm prevails.On the other hand business to consumer marketing customer segmentation, while considerd demographic(age,gender,litaracy,employment,social&economic status and political view) geographic( rural or urban,climate,resources) phsycological(Attitude&Aptitude, charactor, imotions,and personality) and behaviuoral(rational, irrational, uasage and benefit of product and loyalty) factors of customer. Early Adopters means who is first customer of a product is called early adopters because he/she is first acceptin the product so they are very important inthe business. the early adptors or first customer considered as signal light or motivator to the rest of the customers.
In the case of Air filter company they use two customer segmentation. Which is new invented Technology to reducing pollution by increasing popullation and industrialization. So that the custonmers of air filters are not only ground level customer but industries also.So use two type of customer segmentation, moreover cosider all the factors related to segmentation such as industrial factors like size,volume,location ,input so on and consumer factors like demographic,geographic and so on. However, the main target of Air filter company is urban customer and industry because where ever pollution exist need air filter there so high urban density of population causes pollution mainly so the main target customer of air filter company is urban population. That means the demographic customer segmentation is more suitable in this situation. Same as in the case of Air filters company considering the early adopters because whhich is a new invention so they using early adopters as the signaling icon of their product because they are become the inspiration of rest of the world population.
