1. The Revenue Operations team (RevOps) provides system requirements to the Finance Engineering team (FinEng) when any change to the revenue accounting systems is needed. Examples of these changes include launching new products and features, modifications, and/or accounting policy changes. FinEng's role is to deploy the requirements within the revenue accounting systems. Once FinEng deploys the requirements in the systems, RevOps completes User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the changes to the system are performing as expected. When performing UAT, what factors would you consider?
Answer: Nowadays in business world for any organisation it has become imperative to have all the information, of vital departments, which are mainly directly engaged for marketing of the products and all such department should have all the information with them about the quantum of products to be sold in the market and the customers feedback on the product which helps for further improvement of the quality as well as quantity and timely delivery of the product. Before advent of technology what we have today, departments in any organisation were seen operating independently and very frequently it was creating confusion among vital department about the requirements of the product from sales point of view, marketing point of view and customer point of view which in turn were not reflecting the proper scenario about the life cycle of the product giving rise to the inappropriate decisions. The following departments are mainly plays a vital role for function of the product selling in the market.
a) Sales department
b) Marketing department
These two departments are mainly responsible for dealing with customers who are the vital organ for any organisation's final role play.
In order to avoid the confusion which was very frequently occurring in earlier days as explained above the new department called Revenue Operation (RevOps) started forming in an organisation due to advent of new technology which mainly integrate the functions of sales and marketing department as well as customer's requirement i.e. end user. By virtue of formation of this department all the people engaged in the said areas have started working in one platform and sharing information among themselves, meeting the requirement of customer and staying always focused towards it which ultimately started helping the organisation moving successfully towards its object and in turn realization of goal.

In the above case the software has been developed as per requirement of the end user. Now whether the requirement for which the software has been developed are fulling the requirement of the end user or not can be known from the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) i.e. the software is checked whether it is fulling the requirement of customer or not and it is very vital from the customer's satisfaction point of view. Hence, while performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) the following factors are required to be considered.
A) All people to whom the job has been entrusted should be well aware about the objective and requirement on the basis of which the software will be made.
B) End user's requirement should be well discussed among the team members in order to have clear understanding about the requirement.
C) Proper interactions should be made among the team/department.
D) The software should be checked from the customer's point of view and keeping their requirement in mind. Only functionality of the software should not the checked but that functionality should exactly tally with the customer's requirement.
E) The User Acceptance Testing (UAT) should be properly planned in advance and the delay in testing should be avoided.
F) Very high skilled people who are well versed with the latest technology and have in depth knowledge about the software and who can understand properly the requirement of the customer should be recruited by the organisation for this type of crucial test.
