The method of note taking chosen in this case is the mapping method of note taking. The mapping method has been chosen because of the affinity of the writer to indulge into freehand note taking. The catch point is use of various graphics tools so that the different points could be related.

In this method, there is a central idea that is drawn, which is further connected to different ideas. These different ideas could either be connected with arrows. Or there could also be uae of numbers or bullets. Color coding techniques could be used along with lines. In this system, any relationship that best suits the writer, that would help them remember the idea in the most effective way could be used. The method is easy, and not constrained by many rules. Also, these maps or arrows could be covered, so as to test the memory of the pupil.

this compares with the other strategies of note taking, as in the outlining method, there is only use of indenting so as to point the relationship between two objects. Here, there is a particular way to list the main points, whereas, in the mapping method, this could also be used. This is much different from the Cornell method, as in the Cornell method there are additional keywords that would be added while the pupil revises.
