1.Engineering industry considered quality cost as a cost of rework .taguchi explains any private cost of manufactured is a cost of short term cost.mostly engendering industry ignores the cost of poor quality such social losses actually long term loss for them because it gives negative feedback to them and ultimately sale will reduced.
2.six sigma approach can be applied in any industry very easily but according to me automobile manufacturers is the ideal candidate because automobile Industry or auto makers considers the quality of product as well just not focus on the the producing profitable product. But also satisfying the customer is their major aim.
3.Difference between six sigma and traditional quality improvement are as follows;
TQI requires continuous effort of the employee to increase the quality of the product where as six sigma incorporates small changes in the system to deliver better result .
Main job of TQI is to maintain the total quality of the product and maintain it where as six sigma focuses on making primarily small necessary changes.
