Based on your research, why did the colonists end up declaring their independence from Britain? Trace the series of events, from the French and Indian War to the Battles of Lexington and Concord. Include details of at least four events in a paragraph of five to seven sentences.
French and India war: There was a nine year world war. It
creates huge expense to both of the two powers. Here France ceased
all North American possessions. The Treaty of Paris ended this war.
The cost of the war leads to introduction of new taxes by British
Government.
Boston Massacre: On March 5, 1770 the America colonists attack the
Customs house in Boston and taunt the British soldiers. It opened
fire and killed lots of people. The colonists respond using the
snowballs and other dangerous objects. And also discharge rifle at
crowd.
Boston Tea party: There was a protest arise against the tax imposed
on tea. There is monopoly and hegemony of East India Company over
the tea production. As a protest Mohawk people boarded ships at
anchor and dumped a huge amount of tea into the harbour.
First Continental Congress convenes: This was a committee formed in
response to the Intolerable Act. The Intolerable Act formed with
respect to the retaliation for colonial resistance to British. The
fist Continental Congress convened in Philadelphia. There are
almost 56 delegates attended that.
Battle of Lexington and Concord: On April 18, 1775 British marched
from Boston to seize the colonial army at Concord. They fired a
nuclear shot during the meeting between British force and Lexington
army. There is lack of ammunition with British army.
