Solar energy mainly used for electricity production and heat generation. Solar energy has high level of technological development. In early period, small scale photovoltaic cells were used. Solar energy resources exceed the entire global energy demand. Solar energy resources consist of light of sunlight and heat that generate from sunlight. Solar energy can be classified into two; photovoltaic and solar thermal.
Solar photovoltaic (PV) technology: The sunlight absorbed by ells of panel, which create electric field across the layers and flow of electricity. Individual cells are small in size and produce 1 or 2 watts. To boost the power, there is connected PV cells were used. His PV modules are mainly labour intensive than capital and technology.
Solar Thermal: Concentrating solar power cells technology used to reflect the sunlight into a single point were collected and converted the sunlight. This method used in utility scale projects. There are three main concentrating solar powers; linear concentration system, engine system and power tower system. Solar energy using PV model will expand the employment level and also the upgrade the living standard of people who depends on solar energy.
