please briefly comment on the following questions in 100 words
Why are there so many festivals in developing regions? What is the role of alcohol and tobacco consumption?
Argue whether you think this statement is true or false.
Having so many festivals in developing regions is more associated with the culture and religion. If culture to be followed and religion to be worshipped, gives more opportunities for celebrations, then there are more number of occasions to celebrate and make festivals. Further, developing nations or regions find more numbers of findings and innovations with new milestones in their economy in terms of highest GDP ever, highest real GDP per capita till date, and or higher GDP growth. These pointers also create opportunities for celebration and the government marks it as a festival to spread the optimism and its own brand of good work. So, there are more festivals in developing regions.
There is less significant role of alcohol and tobacco consumption other than its use as a drink or chewing substance to be used to celebrate in some part of the world. Rather, in many developing nations in gulf countries, these stuff are banned. So, festivals can make people use it extensively, but reverse is not true.
This statement is true in very limited capacity. For example, it can be said to be true for a developing regions like India. But, the same cannot be said of gulf nations. Hence, there is not a strong correlation between development and festivals. Rather, it is more of culture and religious issue.
