1. Art and music are the reflection of the life of a community. Music is a part of art and it is related to the lifestyle of a community. It shows the belief and faith of the community. It includes the morality and ethics of the people in a particular social setting. Art and music are the living documents of a community that bear a strong relation to the culture and it is reflects the history of the community.

There is an intimate relationship between art and society. It helps to reflects the ideas of the people and the cultural activities. We find in art the development of human civilization. The relation of the people, the men-women relationship, marriage system in various human civilization, man's struggle for freedom, the role of men and women in the society and so on. Art and music reflect the profession of the people, the ruling system, the social anxiety and worries of the people. They reflect the social values, customs and systems that would dominate in the life of people. Even various social movements are reflected in art and music. Therefore art and music are considered as the milestone of the general history.      

In the classical literature we find the social picture of the conventional period. In Oedipus, we find the picture of the ancient Greek society when people would believe in superstition and there were different types of gods that would dominate their life. In the picture of Michael Angelo we find the idea of the conventional period and we come to know the various allegories and social problems reflecting the human suffering.
