What is "Government" and how is it different than "Politics?" Also, What is the difference between Democracy and Republic--as a form of government? Please be specific and answer in paragraphs
The government refers to the term that is derived from a
particular word ‘govern.’ It defines a group of people that rules
and controls all the activities of a nation. Government is
different from politics as the government is an organization, while
politics is one of the ways to manage that organization.
Politics is a process by which the government and other opposition
parties make arguments on different policies to implement effective
policies for the betterment of a nation. Politics, sometimes, leads
to negative consequences as people may use politics for their
personal interest rather than social interest.
Democracy is a form of government that describes a system in which
elected candidate comes from the public, and decisions are made
through voting and choose an effective decision according to the
majority of the votes. On the other hand, a republic is also a form
of government that describes a system where people choose a person
as their representative who has the right to make decisions,
according to the terms of the constitution. In the republic
government, there is no use of the voting method to make decisions
for the society, while in democratic government, oppositions can
also participate in decision making.
