A. The following sales pattern and activities could be followed by Carolyn who manages the frozen pizza company so as to increase the profits

· It would be advisable to sell combos and daily special items so as to attract more people towards the firm.

· Targeted advertising would attract those consumers who are keen on similar products and hence could help in increasing the profits

· Regular and reliable delivery mechanism along with improved versions of supply would be really helpful in increasing the number of orders and hence improve the profits

· As frozen items could have more input costs, it would be advisable to produce in bulk so that the input costs remain optimal.

· Optimal discount policy would help in setting up better pricing policies for the consumers and could increase the consumer base of the firm.

· Creation of a value statement for the firm would help the consumers understand the firm in a better manner and hence could attract more regular consumers to the firm

Thus, with the above methods, the profits of such a firm could be improved on a better scale.

B. The departmentalization methods are based on the factors that governs the same. Thus, various methods of departmentalization exist like Functional, product, geographic, customer, Process, time, number etc. In majority of the cases, a mix of the above processes are being followed in a company. In the given case, it is said that the electronics company has three main divisions like computer electronics, telecommunication equipment and kitchen appliances divisions. Thus, here the departmentalization must be based on the functions performed by each of these departments mentioned. Here, each of the departments must be divided in to separate divisions and their common functionality must be brought together so as to accommodate their behavioural patterns in to the company. The various process followed by the divisions may be also bought together so that the functioning would become smoother. For example, in the telecommunications and the electronics divisions, there may be similar processes that could be combined together to make the functionality perform better. Thus, a combination of functional and process departmentalization may suite this case.
