6. Provide a recommendation to Kimishima on how Nintendo should formulate its international management strategy to compete successfully in the gaming industry in the next three to five year?
Nintendo experiences a lot of challenges in the Gaming industry and that too from the biggest and largest players of the industry like Sony and Microsoft and therefore Nintendo has to be quite unique and creative in their global strategy so that they are able to compete with the best in the industry. Gone are the days when organizations used to limit themselves to domestic market only, today in order to be successful organizations need to have a global business strategy along with it should have a global business presence or else the international players will penetrate their domestic market and will take share of the market hold that the organization possess. Globally doing business has its advantage and disadvantages too but it is almost quite mandatory for organizations today to have a global presence to attract more and more business for the organization.
I will recommend the CEO to target the Asian and African market because the organization is lagging behind in such markets and there are so many growing economies in Asia as well as Africa that it will be a plan to make the status of the organization better in such countries. If we take up a growing economy, let say India we will see that both Sony PlayStation and Microsoft XBOX possess quite a good presence in the country but Nintendo's presence is very less and that is the reason they are lagging behind globally hence because of the opportunity these growing economies provide , Nintendo can actually target these countries and there are chances that they will experience stiff competition but they can be successful as well and they need to take this risk so that they are recognized as a global power in the gaming industry.
