Who is ultimately responsible for setting high quality standards for a business? Choose a company you are familiar with and explain who deserves credit, or takes the blame, when production exceeds (or fails) a high quality standard. Is it fair that they have so much responsibility? Why or why not?
According to me the Quality and Assurance team is ultimately responsible for setting high quality standards in a business. As the way of doing business has changed a lot, organizations today actually look for specialized and dedicated units or departments and quality and assurance which was previously handled internally is now being made a separate department so that it handles and maintains the quality at the highest.
I have been associated with the Organization Infosys for sometime as I was deployed in the organization for around two years for a project for my actual employer which is an insurance organization headquartered in Milwaukee. Infosys is an India based IT organization which is quite a quality based organization where there are dedicated teams or departments who actually look after quality of the products and are responsible for validation and testing they have a development team who looks after the designing and development of the products and the QA team is responsible for maintaining quality and in case of any issues they are blamed because they are the final check point before products are delivered to clients. I believe that it is fair to take this responsibility because that is what they are there for that is taking the responsibility to ensure that quality is delivered,
