3. Increasingly, some hotel chains are outsourcing some or all of their housekeeping operations. Local community reaction to this approach has sometimes led to backlash or even boycott of the hotels that choose to outsource housekeeping workers for the purpose of reducing wages and benefit costs. What would likely be some advantages of taking such an outsourcing approach to room cleaning? What are some potential disadvantages of taking such an approach?

A Thumbs Up! Would be really helpful for me. If you have any questions, please leave a comment and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

some hotel chains are using outsourcing or all of their housekeeping operations and local community has led to boycott of the hotels. By that approach, some advantages come in the room cleaning as save the technology requirement investment, better risk management occurs, flexibility comes in staffing, by the requirement of a new employee of housekeeping lead to better cleaning at low cost, increment in work efficiency, new skills make effectiveness in work, faster and better service achieved, reduce turn around time, lack of Standardisation etc.

Risk shared, simplification in processes of cleaning, get peace of mind.

But with these advantages, some disadvantages also comes by outsourcing as lose some control of room cleaning, their some hidden cost may increase like training cost, some kind of security risks because of supervisors not better known about the behaviour of new housekeepers, reduce in control of quality cleaning, moral dilemmas faces, Synchronizing the deliverables, lose in customer focus etc.
