For electromagnetic waves the frequency of the wave can be formulate as
frequency=velocity of light/wave length
Let consider
c=velocity of light or velocity of electromagnetic wave
f=frequency of the electromagnetic wave
∆=wave length of electromagnetic wave
Therfore from the formula I have mention above
f=c/∆
Therfore form above expression you can see that frequency inversely proportional to the wavelength of electromagnetic wave
Hence as the frequency is increases wavelength decrease or vice versa
The principle difference between the radio wave ,light wave ,and X Ray is their wavelength and frequency
The wavelength of radio wave is greater than the light wave and X Ray and hence frequency of radio wave is less than the light wave and X Ray .
The order of the wavelength are as follow:
Wavelength of radio wave > wavelength of light wave >wavelength of x Ray wave
And you can also write as
Frequency of X Ray wave > frequency of light wave > frequency of radio wave
