Zambia 2030 vision refers to the medium-term plan of the Zambian
government that emphasizes to transform the economy of Zambia by
improving different factors such as social, economic progress,
human development and wealth formulation, and increase in social
and capital investment.
There are some weaknesses associated with this plan that become
hurdles in implementation of plan effectively, such weaknesses
are:
- Zambia is a highly populated country, and its population is
increasing at an increasing rate that raises difficulties in one of
the major objectives that are human development and wealth
formulation. This is because; increase in population divides the
available resources into more partitions that reduce the per capita
incomes of the people of Zambia.
- Zambia is also facing a very high level of corruption that
raises the funding problem for implementing this medium-term plan.
Zambia can borrow money from other nations such as the United
States, Russia, and other countries to make an effective funding
procedure;
- Firstly, the government needs to reduce the country's
corruption so that the money raised for the development plan can be
used efficiently.
