The web has been around for quite some time. It has not always been the robust information resource that we find ourselves using today. Many parts of the web have evolved into technologies that find ourselves needing to use more often than not. How do you feel websites have changed over the last decade? What is new about how they work and what we can do with them?

There have been very big changes that have happened to the website we see today. Over the last decade, we have seen a number of improvement in the website design, security, page loading time and the user experience. The user experience has been the major concern in which more features have been included in websites so that people with disabilities can also use the website and can interact with it. Tools such as text to speech, voice recognition can help disabled people use websites.
Website Security is another term which has been major concern to protect website from being hacked and user will not able to use it. Various Techniques such as authentication, firewall have been introduced in the past decade to find vulnerabilities in the websites and how to remove them. Securing our websites has made it easy to use internet banking and do online transcation.
Over the past few years we have also seen an exponential growth in the number of users on the internet has reached billion. Web sites build with old technologies cannot handle so many users at the same time. Thus, new technologies have been introudued to make websites scalable to large user base. Website now are portable means that they are responsive in all the devices such as mobile, laptop, iPad, PC and so on.
