write about a book, movie, poem, play or other type of story that has allegorical meaning. Briefly explain the story and what about it is universal. Explain what modern or historical issues/events/circumstances it can be analogized (i.e.,compared) to.
Once, there was a merchant who had pot that gave him salt. As salt was not available in his land, he made fortunes from this pot. He would exploit people for a pinch of salt. Then, there came a time when the people could no more pay for the salt from the merchant. They set out to search for salt in their land, and their efforts yielded fruits, they found an enormous amount of salt in a cave that would last for generations unimaginable. Salt lost it preciousness, it became as common as any other thing, so do the the value of merchant, who now had to flee from that land without any money or his fortunes, as people took back everything from him only sparing his life.
The universal truth is that each of us is gifted with a talent that should be used for the upliftment of others, if the merchant would not have mercilessly exploited the people,he would have stayed there joyfully. The important moral is that tyranny always ends in tragedy. If we take the life of any tyrannt historical figure, we can see that they were actually talented individuals who used their talents to embark sufferings on people, and most of them who lived in luxuries, had an tragic end of their lives.
