b) In what other industry and scenario might the time play an important role when it comes to processing? Explain how reducing minutes to seconds has an impact in such a scenario.
a) The cell processor are not a single proccessor. It is a group of proccessor where workload is equally distributed. So that we can attain maximum efficiency. The cell processor are designed to process graphic related things faster and efficiently. Hence, it will be useful in Mayo's clinic at the time of analyzing the images from CT scan or X-rays to interpret data faster than a human can do manually. According to IBM and statements of Mayo, it can analyze a CT scan in 4 seconds, which in general require 10 minutes. Due to less time consuming, physicians can analyze disease faster. Using this improved process Physicians can identify the tumors or cancers in the very initial stage. Another good point is digital processing of images would give you accurate data which helps Physicians to identify any abnormality in the initial stage. So that it can be treated accordingly. In such faster and efficient ways doctors at Mayo's clinic could improve medication and save more lives.
b) Every industry needs speed. IT sectors, Banking sectors, different factories etc. were in serach of more speed always. Think about a bread making factory. If one factory's machine can make 100 bread in 5 minutes. Another factory's machine can make 100 bread in one minute. So, obviously 2nd factory is better than 1st one. Nowadays if you're not fast your competitors will overtake you. Everyone wanted speed and accuracy. Day by day people need more commodities. So, you have to make them more fast and efficiently. Hence, Nowadays each second is important for every industry. Each second can save many lives, each second can make food for many people, each second can send a huge data etc.
