Using the concepts taught in this course, explain clearly why an accident on a freeway during rush hour is likely to cause much more traffic jams than in non rush hours
Rush hour can be seen as the part of the day in which the maximum number of people uses the roads and freeways to commute from one place to another place commonly to and fro their office and homes.
During the rush hours, there is a greater likelihood of having a jam in comparison to the non-rush hours. This is a common practice as ore number of vehicles are present on the road that slows down the average speed of the vehicles on the road, having long wait time on the red lights.
The situation becomes worst if there is an accident on the freeways during the rush hour as in the case of the rush hour, first of all, the site will be partially be blocked that will create a bottleneck for the coming vehicles. The paramedical team will take its course that will attract the attention of the passers and in fact, most of them will either stop or slow down the speed of their vehicle to see the accident or to even help the cause. All this will create the situation of road jam on the freeway.
The situation will be relatively easy during the nonrush hour as the fewer vehicles will be on-road so the situation can be managed more efficiently.
