Provide an example that demonstrates how Learning Patterns play (or have played) a role in your interactions with the person you selected. Consider which Learning Pattern(s) help you connect and work positively with this person and conversely, which Pattern(s) have contributed to or have the potential to lead to Pattern Conflict.
Each learner has a unique combination of learning patterns. The four different learning patterns are sequence, precision, technical reasoning and confluence. These four learning patterns exist in all of us to some degree and are interactive.
For example, a manager has a dominant pattern of sequential learning. In his interactions, he displays order and consistency. He gives clear directions, plans to the point, is punctual and neat and tidy.
An employee having a learning pattern of precision would be able to connect and work positively with this manager. This is because the manager would seek order and consistency and the employee would be able to do so with details and accuracy.
However, if an employee has a learning pattern of technical reasoning, he might find it a pattern conflict while dealing with a manager who is sequential. This is because such an employee would question the relevance of certain work and order, and might seek to change things too, which would not be taken positively by the manager.
