Organizations that invest in training of staff are more successful and satisfied workers. Employees need to be educated on best practices, not just on assignments. When time passed by, organizations implemented the expertise acquired from the training and became professionals with the technical knowledge and expertise. The preparation of workers helps them to concentrate on things that need to be completed, such as the customer service department, IT personnel, etc. On the other hand, forcing the employees to work even during leisure time and not giving appropriate environment to grow their career opportunities leads to lack of motivation among the employees that ultimately contributing to employee turnover. Employee retention refers to an organization's ability to retain its employees. When retention is low , it means that the turnover of employees is high. Employee turnover may be due to lack of career paths, lack of recognition or lack of good employee-manager relationships. Organizations can overcome the loss of employees through increasing employee retention. By improving employee retention, companies may be able to protect the quality of their service, reduce employee turnover, and maximize employee growth and productivity. Employee retention levels can also be increased by management initiatives and organizational reform. The organization should be willing and able to take the necessary leadership actions and take the actions that support the employees. Management should also be able to implement measures for organizational improvement. A well-developed incentive package for workers that includes career advancement programs and good customer service are the few measures for enhancing employee retention.
