Expert Solution

An effective plan for research includes well planned strategy, followed by proper execution. While a successful research makes everyone happy, many time researches fail. Many times they do not go as they were expected to go. Failed Research is too harsh a term, as it is impossible to not learn anything new, from a research you have conducted. Following are the things that can be lelarned from an unsuccessful research:

1. Although the research did not go as planned, the data collected in this process is of high importance. Although the results of the research were not as expected, the data is still valid, and can be used for other research purposes.

2. The results of the research can be used to understand the gaps between the plans and the results. A thorough analysis of this data can lead to very important conclusions,

3. The pattern of thought process pf the participants who took part in the research can be studied, so that when the next research is planned, the learnings of the failed research can be taken into consideration.

4. The researchers get better in detecting, analyzing and predicting failures.
