what is gained from having more income? Is money valuable in and of itself or does its value come from the freedom and time it grants to the one who has it? Why?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Money is valuable not because it is valuable in itself rather it gives freedom and time to an individual to live his/her life in whatever way he wants. If a person is earning more money, he can save his time for work which he likes and pay someone else for work he does not likes to do. Say, a person can hire a person for work and he can enjoy life with family and friends. Gain from more income is that one can plan many other things if he/she is financially flexible. He can also go for a vacation or he can plan some other business from his money which he seems interesting and attractive. Some people loves to earn more because they have great business plans. They like investing and make world a better place for others to live. While some only earn to make their bread and butter. But everybody is looking to earn more so that they can make their life easy and flexible when they get tired of working.
