Which field of psychology do you find most interesting or relevant to your personal or professional life? Why? Do you see yourself applying principles of psychology in your everyday life? If so, which ones? What side of the nature-versus-nuture debate do you find yourself on? What evidence can you provide to support stance?
I find social psychology most interesting and relevant to my personal and professional life. social psychology is the field of psychology that deals with the study of people, people's behavior and interaction with each other. The theories of social psychology can be experienced in everyday life. I am an economics student so I find social psychology very relevant to this field too as it helps in study how consumers make choices etc. For example theory of loss aversion which says we prefer to avoid losses to gain in equal amount, this theory affects our everyday decision yet we don't realize it conciously. Similarly many such principle are interesting to learn. I am on niether of the extreme sides of the nature versus nurture debate. I believe that nature and nurturing both interact and result in a certain result or personality or behavior. Nature or nurture alone are not fully responsible. InyelliIntel level is considered natural while training in a certain level can help acquire the same level of proficiency too.
