Islamic Architecture can be defined as a building traditions of Muslim populations of middle East and any countries where Islam was dominant from 7th century on. Now a days there are a variety of the Islamic ArctitArchit.

1) Madarasa - It is a public school for muslim.
2) Mausoleum- It is a tomb or a monument.
3) mosque - it is a place for worship.
4) casbah - it is a fortress.
5) Hammam - it is a structural design for hot bathhouse.
6) Caravanserai- it is a roadside inn for travellers.
History of Islamic Architecture.
Firstly the Islamic Architecture was broadly influences by the Mesopotamians , Romans, Byzanatine in 7th and early of 8th centuries. In those days there was not enough equipment to build hise rise monument but the technology of that time was very much good enough rather than current scenario for the sake of this we can see the fort of Akabar which is not being deteriorated till now and has been attacked by so many atmosphereric toxics.
Most important features and characteristics of islamiI Architecture.
Islamic Arcitecture comprises of the building that are associated with Islam .it includes both the secular and the religious styles from the early history ofoIslam to the present day.
There are some features of Islamic Arcitecture listed below .
1) It decorates the building and the monument surfaces with the Islamic calligraphy and Islamic signs .
2) The top of the almost building were just like the mosque Dom.
3) It focus on the interior decorations rather than the exterior of the buildings.
4) Almost all the Islamic buildings posses courtyard which is within the walls and open to the sky .these are the main space in the buildings where the used to discuss any topic.
Comparison between the modern building design and the traditional building decorations.
It is well known that the current construction of the Islamic buildings are based on the new ideas new theories of modern construction techniques.
Generally Islamic Arcitecture usess the shapes & geometric pattern to provide visual interest. Some of the design and pattern are quite sophisticated and show a high level of details of Islamic culture and many more. Islam prohibits the realistic representation of the people and their faces as for as possible.
Note - the very important difference in Islamic and modern construction is that in Islamic Arcitecture they uses arch to measure the distaces while in modern straight line is used to measure the distances . The main door of all Islamic sacntury is in West because the holy place Makka lies in West from India so they used to do Namaz by facing in the west .
