As a Nurse - The importance of the patients attendent is the same what we give to a patient. So, providing comfort to them is very important when there loved ones are in serious condition . We should provide them the strength to be strong enough manage the situation , communicate with them about the condition of the patient , provide empathy ,and explain the situation to them in a clear and simple language understood by them .
As a physician - Physician has the main role in providing the real situation to the patient's attendents by communicating with them the situation in a clear and empathetic way . He or she should provide them information regarding the status of patient what measures /interventions were done and how the patient is responding to it . Presentation of the real scenario based upon the disease condition, what efforts were made to revive the client and was it successfull or not .
As a respiratory therapist - provide information regarding the situation of the patient, what interventions are being planned and done . Providing empathy to the relatives and communicating with them about the patient's condition based upon reports
