how does attachment theory explain behavior

Solutions

Expert Solution

One of the most important factors in human development and that which would determine one’s behaviours throughout one’s life time would be the type of attachment one develops. This is because of the fact that children are the products of their immediate environment such as, parenting, education and family and a secure attachment from the parents through attention, motivation, scaffolding, acceptance without criticism etc. would help children develop secure attachment which would have a long lasting impact in their positive behaviours, trust in them and the world, better relationships both familial and intimate etc. On the other hand, children who do not get enough care, attention, motivation and support would develop negative mindset towards relationship, people and the world around them. It would force them to engage in rude, violent and deviant behaviours as they grow and they wouldn’t have any hold on any relationship due to lack of trust they developed during the childhood.
